Bulletin Board Ideas for Teachers

There are times in which teachers run out of ideas to decorate their classroom's bulletin boards. Here are some inexpensive ideas:

1. Fall into a good book - Although it is a classic, you can add a modern twist. Visually divide the bulletin board in two; the upper half and the lower half. Cover the upper half with blue construction paper to imitate the sky. For the lower half, use green construction paper to imitate gras
s. With butcher's paper, make a tree trunk. You can buy fall leaves or make your own. Make sure some of the leaves resemble the leaves falling off the tree. Make eyes, mouth and nose for the tree trunk. Use two fall leaves as the tree hands. Make a book with construction paper or foam and write the teacher's name. To create a 3-D effect, staple the book between the two leaves (to resemble that the tree is reading the book) and in the middle of the book. Then, with construction paper, or any paper, create little books that the children can decorate and write their names. Staple the little books around the tree. Create or buy letters to say: "Fall into a good book." Staple them over the green construction paper. And Voila!

2. We are unique and special - Cut out different fall leaves templates and let the children color them with fall colors. You may use different techniques with different paintings. Them, staple them around the bulletin board with their names. Each leave will be unique and special as your students.

3. We are caught up on reading - This is a perfect one for Halloween. Cover the bulletin board with purple construction paper. With black pom-poms, piper cleaners, and wiggly eyes let the students create their own spiders. Create a spider web with black yarn. Staple the spiders on the spider web. Make sure you don't forget to include the teacher's spider. Make or buy letter to say: "We are caught up on reading. " The word "caught" should be across the spider web.
