For the Budget Conscious Bride

When planning a wedding, many couples struggle with financial costs associated with small, intimate details. One such issue for many brides is the creation of centerpieces. As a unique wedding reception idea, making your own centerpieces will provide for a unique and cost efficient option to profess
ionally made centerpieces and, with the right components, can be used in your guest's homes following the ceremony.

One such centerpiece can be created from the purchase of hurricane lamps. At a local discount retailer, such as www.walmart.com, hurricane lamps, of varying sizes can be purchased for less than $5.00 a piece. To this hurricane lamp, add whole coffee beans and insert a decorative candle which compliments your wedding colors. The heat from the candle, while in the hurricane lamp, will promote wonderful scents from the coffee beans while providing intimate candlelight to your guest's tables. Following the wedding reception, your guests can take the hurricane lamp, coffee beans and accompanying candle for use in their own homes.

As an alternative to hurricane lamps, wedding reception centerpieces can also be created using round fish bowls. With the same concept as the coffee beans and hurricane lamps, the fish bowls can be accented with a smaller candle and, instead of coffee beans, complimented with red hot candies. The heat from the candles, especially in a vanilla scent, will mix with the fiery cinnamon of the red hot candies, providing for an interesting scented centerpiece. Placing this centerpiece onto decorative tile can provide for a beautiful accent to your guest's home following the wedding ceremony.

You should never have a goldfish in water that does not have a filter. Most people don't know this but the fish will die very quickly. Goldfish need a filter! You can use Betta fish instead. They don't require filtered water.
