What is This Thing Called God?

Why is it so important? What's the big deal? Everybody has their own ideas about what god is. Some think of god as some mystical being that watches over all. Some think god is really a goddess. Some think there is no such thing. Some wonder what the big deal is.What's the harm in just believing what ever comes our way? A few things to consider. What is mankind, anyway? Why are we here? I mean, do we really believe we are an accident of nature? Some kind of mutation from a one celled animal? Then why are there still one celled animals? Are we evolved from apes? Then what happened to the other apes? Why are they still apes? Were they lazy?
What do we really think? Are we sheep just believing what ever the government schools teach us? Or do we investigate for ourselves? I mean, does anybody ever examine the terminology thrown around with these teachings? Theory! That's the word thrown around as though it means, somehow, reality.
Does anybody realize we've been brainwashed with that word? Just because something is a theory doesn't mean data, it means 'somebody else's bright idea'.
So if what we've been taught in school, is hogwash, then what is the truth? Why do we need to know the truth? Well, for one thing, it would be nice to understand what keeps us going.
Here's another thought. Don't you think it odd that when you're introducing yourself, you point to the center of your chest? Wonder why that is. I mean, why don't we point to our face? Maybe our eye? What's the deal with pointing at our chest? Don't tell me it's the closest way of pointing out who we are. There has to be a reason we all point to the exact same spot. What are we pointing at?
Ever consider that maybe, just maybe its our spirit we point toward? I mean, really, what are you? I don't know about you but I'm a lot more than just minerals. Do minerals explain emotions? Don't tell me. It's the brain, right? Electrical impulses in a blob of pink tissue produces emotions. I don't think so. That brain is great at computing and storing memory but it sure doesn't have the ability to express emotion. So then where does emotion come from?

What has science truly proven? Science studies the mechanical workings of all things but the one question they will never attempt to answer, simply because they admit they cannot, is what life is.Comments
