I love that your baby wrists are so chubby that they have "bracelets."

I love that your knuckles dimple in from the fat instead of poking out.

I love the extra butt cheeks you have both above and below your real ones.

I love your extra chin.

I love shrieks of uncontained delight.

I love the way you cling desperately to me when you cry.

I love waking up to you smiling delightedly at me as you stick your fingers up my nose.

I love the unbalanced way you wobble while standing as though you were dancing.

I love your long soft finger curls.

I love the way your eyes roll back in your head when you nurse.

I love how you sometimes sleep with your eyes half open.

I love how you purse your lips and open your eyes as wide as they will go when you are concentrating on something.

I love how you flap your arms up and down when excited.

I love the way you rub your eyes when you are sleepy.

I love the way you wipe your face on mine when it's itchy.

I love the huge sigh of relief you give when you stop nursing to go to sleep.

And best, best of all, I love climbing into bed at night when you are all drowsy and limp and warm and soft beside me, nestled in my arms against my breast. How will I ever sleep again when you are gone?

I Love

No love can be greater than the love a mother feels for her child.
