The literary thought that blindness can make us truly see may not be such a clichéd statement after all when you put it through the areas of entertainment. While most entertainers who can already see would probably panic if they lost their eyesight, those entertainers born blind at birth or when young have trained themselves to go inward where a lot of things can be honed in on that you can't be focused on when more conscious to the outside world. The implications of that in dissecting what makes a good entertainer are quite significant, especially if you're an entertainer who has to rely on creativity on a regular basis in order to maintain clout in your field. Concentration is always essential when it comes to creativity, and anybody lucky enough to tap into their subconscious mind while still focusing on the outside world has some great advantages. I've long trained my mind to go inward when I have to in the blink of an eye, no matter what other distractions are around me. When you shut your eyes, though, and allow yourself to tap into the deepest regions of your imagination during creative brainstorming, you'll find yourself tapping into things you never thought possible.
In blind people, they've trained themselves to do this going back generations. Nowhere is that more evident than in blind musicians who are able to concentrate on regions of the brain that brings out some amazing creativity, sometimes unparalleled. It's in the piano world where a lot of that seems to be the most prevalent. The keyboard, for some blind musicians, became the greatest canvass they could ask for--all by mere intuition of where to go on the keys to create advanced harmonies that sprang instantaneously from their fingers.
