I believe the life of faith is less difficult than a life without faith. You see, when you walk in faith, you place all the details and troubles of your life in the Master's care. Faith constrains you to a belief that God is bigger and stronger than all your problems. Faith is a powerful tool that lays hold of divinity and walks in the path of difficulty when necessary.Without faith, we're told it's impossible to please God. How would you feel if your child, a friend or spouse didn't trust you or have faith in you? Would that make you happy? Of course not. Eventually, your relationship would suffer. It is impossible to please each other without some measure of trust and faith. The same goes for God.
Our relationship with God must be based on faith -- faith IN HIM; faith in His Word and promises, and faith that He will complete what He started in us with that little mustard seed of faith that brought us to Him in the first place.
Start this morning in your walk of faith. Sure, you may still have doubts, but instead of concentrating and focusing on doubt, why not trust in the little measure of faith given you at birth? Take that seed and plant it in the Master. Watch it grow stronger and stronger as the days move on.
Whose Opinion is Most Important?
Over and over again, when discussing God, the Bible and faith, I discover a very interesting and reoccuring problem. I hear people say, "I don't think it matters..." "I think this and I think that..."
How many actually stop and consider an opinion besides their own; an opinion more important than their own? No, not my opinion. My opinion means nothing in the whole scheme of things. I'm talking about God's opinion; God's word on the matters brought up in discussions.
You see, it doesn't matter what you and I think or feel if we are in complete disagreement with God's Word. If what I read in the Bible is true, then we all better get our lives in order. I'm not talking about being afraid of God. This is not about fear, though a dose of respect for God and His Word would be wise.
