Typically, to start a day in Maggie Valley is to start an adventure. Whether you're a local or a tourist, there are plenty of fun and exciting winter activities to take part in. Feel like being indoors or outdoors? Day time or night? Those are all big questions needing answers before you can even begin to choose something to do.
Lets start with some daytime activities first. Shopping. The shops in Maggie Valley go from first class art work, to touristy t-shirts and coffee mugs, so you have a wide range of choices. There are way too many shops to write about in this article, so I'll write down the ones I think are the most unique to this area.
Like antiques? This area is full of antiques shops up and down Soco gap road. Hidden Coves of Antiques and Collectibles, is a beautiful shop full of an assortment of goodies, from eclectic to classical, they have just about everything.
Got Dishes? Dishes are definitely something not a lot of people shop for, but it's worth a shot to see. The Dish Barn has a huge store, full of brand name dishware, and also many pieces that are unique and hard to find.
Arts and crafts stores are a good place to shop for those who dabble in art or for those who make it their living and you can find supplies for these in Maggie Valley as well. Pretty crafty is definitely the store of choice to get all your arts and crafts needs. They have a wide variety of useful and cheap supplies, as well as those hard to find and completely unique supplies.
