Skip buying those store bought spider kits and make these yourself. Just grab a handful of cotton balls and begin pulling the fibers apart. Quilt batting also works great. If you don't have any on
hand, check the fabric department of your local department store. As for the plastic spiders, be sure to look for these at your local dollar stores first.

Cheap idea number two:

Go online and browse your favorite sites that will allow you to upload and print stock photos. Once you print them, you can color them (or get the kids into the action) and place where ever you wish. Try searching under Halloween and the specific type of decoration you want such as: witch, pumpkin, or ghost.

Cheap idea number three:

Make some Tombstones out of cardboard. Paint them gray and use a black marker to write your eerie sayings onto them.

Cheap idea number four:

Decorate with some of the candy you bought for the trick or treaters. Add some colorful pieces of candy corn or licorice to a pretty clear glass bowl and place where all can see.

Cheap idea number five:

Paint some of your old flower pots orange or gold. Then place some gourds or pumpkins in them.

Cheap idea number six:

Take a pretty fall basket and go outside for a walk. While you are enjoying the fresh fall air, pick some pretty leaves, acorns, twigs, and other nuts you find. Place them all in your basket. Go back inside and arrange them. Now you have the perfect Halloween centerpiece that was extremely inexpensive.

Cheap idea number seven:

Make your home smell like Halloween, as well. You can easily and inexpensively do this by adding a few drops of cinnamon to a pot of simmering water. (be sure to keep watch over it.) You may even want to add cinnamon sticks and apple peelings to your simmering water.

Cheap idea number eight:

Of course, you can't possibly decorate for Halloween without a pumpkin or two.

It isn't always about how much you spend when it comes to decorating. Many times you can spend little and create a much more pleasing atmosphere.
