Reminiscing

Ever wonder what your ol' classmates are up to? Well if you have, you're not alone. The majority of adults in the U.S. actually admit to reminiscing every now and then back to their high school years. This is exactly
why so many sites are popping up offering you a chance to reunite with ol' classmates. These dot com's are everywhere, classmates.com, classreport.com, and reunion.com to name just a few.

Social networking is becoming quite popular. On line sites offering former high school students a chance to look up friends from they're past sound fantastic, but often there are fees involved. Fees that are reasonable, however, many individuals visiting these sites don't follow up and just log on for a brief visit and are not willing to pay the monthly fee.

If you would like to connect with ol' classmates and are not interested in paying a monthly fee, then here is an idea. Create your own cyber reunion. Here are a few suggestions to help you set up your own site using familiar and popular hosts that already exist, hosts such as Facebook, Tagged and My space. These are all free sites that are easy to use or require very little assistance. These sites allow you to create your own personalized theme page or to borrow artwork and use fancy settings to polish off your own unique and fun page.

A user's page can be as private or as public as you want. A theme page can be created in a manner of hours, equipping you with a site that is uniquely yours and can be shared with others via the Internet. Design a site using your school colors, school mascot and perhaps add in your old school song and use that it as your background music. Once your account has been created, you simply begin searching for familiar names using your old yearbook and begin inviting individuals on one by one.

I am aware of the spelling error, and everyone has graciously ignored it, thank you. Unfortunately in my haste and excitement of getting my article published, I neglected to check my first two stories before final submission. (Not professional on my part) Hope you have a chance to log onto the HHS site and get a few ideas. Please let me know if you start one of your own for your class, I'd love to check it out!
That's a neat idea. I just attended my 25th reunion and was really disappointed with how few people I got to talk to (people were gathered in small groups and didn't seem open to mingling). I may suggest this for our 30th!
