Sarah Plain Falls Back on Beauty Pageant Skills During the Katie Couric Interview
Sarah Palin finally gave another interview to a top broadcast network anchor earlier this week. This time it was Katie Couric the former Today Show host and current anchor of CBS Evening News. During the Sarah Palin interview, Katie Couric asked her a lot of tough questions about things Sarah Palin and her running mate have said during the last 30 days. These were questions that Sarah Palin and her handlers should have known would be asked in the Katie Couric interview. Much of the time during the Katie Couric interview, Sarah Palin seemed to stumble and ramble on almost incoherently, filling sentences with conjunctive phrases and little substance. Now, with that in mind, watch Sarah Palin's response during the Katie Couric interview to Katie's question asking her what she meant when she said that being next door to Russia gave her foreign policy experience. The answers given by Sarah Palin in this video are eerily similar. At least, Miss Carolina didn't need the host to fill in a word for her when she got stuck.

Answers like this might have been good enough to win her 2nd runner up in the Miss Alaska competition, but is it really good enough to be Vice President of the United States? Maybe this is part of the reason why Sarah Palin has been largely shielded from the media with very few controlled exceptions since it was announced that she would be running alongside John McCain. Even her recent meetings with the heads of several foreign states did not allow more than a few seconds of media coverage. One is left to imagine the puzzled translator trying to convey the sense of what Sarah Palin was saying if her answers to questions were anything like her performance during the Katie Couric interview.

i'm not too sure about this. all human interaction in a competitive setup is highly political - that she has managed to become the mayor and the governor of a state at her age is by itself no mean achievment. it definitely shows a level of intelligence and competency.
also is arkansaw as populated as new jersey or california?

Palin makes Dan Quayle look really smart. For you kids out there he was one of the dumbest VPs in American history.
McCain is a freakin idiot for selecting her. Either a) his own judgement is seriously wrong or b) he succumbed to the wishes of the GOP to select a female running mate. Either way he didn't demonstrate Presidential character in this selection.
Americans voting for Bush baffled me but If anyone votes for McCain with an unqualified bimbo (sorry but she is a bimbo..just watch some of her other videos on Youtube) then we deserve to give up Democracy and let a few elites decide our government.
I can not wait for the VP debate. That is going to be great. Palin must be crapping her pants.
