Ore-Ida Steam N' Mash Potatoes Product Review

Ore-Ida Steam n' Mash potatoes are 100% real potatoes that have been washed, peeled and cubed. The raw potato cubes, which come in four varieties, are then frozen in a 24 ounce package. To cook the Ore-Ida Steam n' Mash potatoes, you place the unopened, frozen package of potato cubes in the microwave for 10 minutes, then let stand for 2 minutes. Open the package of now fully cooked potato cubes and place the potaoes in a bowl, adding your favorite seasoning and mash. Add the same seasonings that you would to made-from-scratch mashed potatoes, I add milk, butter, sour cream and salt. The final results of Ore-Ida Steam n' Mash potatoes are almost identical to made-from-scratch mashed potatoes, with no peeling involved and no pan to wash.

Ore-Ida Steam n' Mash potatoes cook very tender and can be mashed with a hand held potato masher or I have found just a hard stirring with a large serving spoon works well.

Ore-Ida Steam n' Mash potatoes come in four flavors, Russet potatoes, garlic seasoned potatoes, three cheese potatoes and sweet potatoes. All varieties are packaged in a 24 ounce bag that states the package will serve 7.

Ore-Ida Steam n' Mash potatoes can be used in any recipe that you would normally use cubed or mashed potatoes in. The Ore-Ida Steam n' Mash Russet potato cubes would be perfect for potato salad, the sweet potato cubes would give you a huge head start on a sweet potato pie or soufflé.
