Why I Love What I See in McCain

Choosing a person to vote for is a mixture of facts, feelings, perceptions, and moods of the day. Yes, there are some folks out there who are staunch, devoted, ideologues who will stick by a party no matte
r how weak or unqualified the candidate of their party is. The majority of voters however, have a loose party affiliation that can be swayed by some of the most unlikely of reasons which is precisely why I find myself backing John McCain, a person I've often not agreed with and never would have dreamed would be the Republican candidate two years ago. I was sure I would sit this election out rather than vote for someone I was not in line with. But here I am and for reasons I never anticipated, more sold on McCain than I was on Reagan (yes, I was old enough to vote for Reagan, so what?)

What has sold me on this unlikely Republican candidate?

Most recently:

- I love that McCain left campaigning to shake things up in Washington, calling that weasel Reid's bluff and most importantly, forcing Obama out of debate prep mode and into his most hated activity of working. You see, Obama wanted no fingerprints on the financial solution, freeing him up to claim zero responsibility for it down the road. McCain reads Obama like the high gloss pamphlet that he is. McCain made sure Obama was part of the decision and so he was.

- I love that McCain threw a wrench into the works and slowed down this whole Paulsen Plan. Anything this big that in essence hands the keys of our homes over to the Federal Government while they take our tax dollars and make us pay for the keys a second time claiming we may make money off the deal which will then be used to pay down the National Debt...are you kidding? And all the while Bush and the Socialist, I mean Democrats keep saying quick, quick, gotta do this quick. Quick before the working stiffs realize what we're pulling.

Great article, Amanda! The bit with the children singing for Obama is downright creepy! A real Children of the Corn moment. Thanks, but no thanks, Barack! We'll keep our guns, religion, money and freedom. You can keep the change! Great work!

Seeing those kids and the adults standing by swooning was a bit nutzo. At first I thought it had to be a put on, parody but those people were sincere! Would be funny if it weren't so serious.

Did you guys see the kids singing for Obama segment on TV last night? Yep, they were singing for their glorious leader. Don't the kids in North Korea sing like that for Kim Jong Il? And didn't Hitler also have the "Hitler youth"? Obama shows us more of who he is (or isn't) every day.

Agreed Amanda! Greta Job! I love that Obama was their pick. These dolts think my objections to the Messiah is cause we're scared of him. They have no clue that it was Hillary that was nearly unbeatable, but this radical Marxist ass was just the ticket for OUR ticket to beat! But let 'em keep thinking we fear this jerk - they have underestimated us since the Reagan Revolution, and they do it again. For a bunch of self-proclaimed smarty pants peeps, they sure are a bunch of whining jackasses. They chose a real radical. Just now I watched a piece on FOX with a guy who says he has the factual evidence that Obama & Ayers were much closer than the Messiah wants us to know. This is just gettin' good!
