Woman Arrested After Complaining About Quality of Crack

We have all probably heard of that television program "Dumbest Criminals". We are often amused at how criminals often perform in the most inadequate ways in the "line of duty" if you will. My husband works for our local newspaper and each morning he brings home that days paper. There are usually some very interesting stories in the newspaper. The articles in the newspaper are often ironic, sad, and interesting, but hardly ever just plain funny. This morning, my husband arrived with today's newspaper and on the front page; there was an article, which read, "Woman complains about quality of crack, arrested".

This headline immediately drew my attention. I laughed at it before I even read it, finding it hard to believe that someone would do something as outrageous as complain about the quality of crack - especially with the Law Enforcement coverage that we have in our community. As I read, I realized that I am truly reading about one of the Nations dumbest criminals. Not only did this woman complain about the quality of crack overall, she complained to a local Law Enforcement Officer!

The story goes like this:

The woman, who is from North Carolina and the age of 50, apparently bought crack from someone who was outside of a convenience store in our community. A local Law Enforcement Officer was handling a call at the time of the incident at the same convenience store. Shortly after the woman bought the crack, she decided that it lacked the quality of true crack and informed the officer. She went to the officer and reported that she was just sold some crack that was "bad". Once she told this to the officer, she spit out a rock on the patrol car and told the cop that it was not real crack. She then informed the officer that what she had purchased was a mix of cocaine and standard wax.

The woman was very upset that she had been sold a substitute for real crack and was informing the officer, thinking that he could make the person that she bought the "rock" from give her a refund. Instead, the officer tested the rock and it came back positive as far as cocaine was concerned. He then, in the best interests of his duty, had to arrest the woman for possession.
