Gray hair unfortunately is a part of Mother Nature that all of us, regardless of gender, will have to conquer someday. The graying process can start anywhere from early teens to middle age around the late 30's. Don't get frustrated there are many home remedies or products you can use to help those stubborn, dull, and brittle grays. Those stubborn gray strands of hair can be very sexy and flattering if you use the right shampoos, conditioners and treatments for gray hair. Being that gray hair is so dull you must use a certain shampoo to brighten and revitalize the gray hairs back to life. Now you don't have to go to a hair salon to brighten up your gray this may be done in the comfort of your own home. There are many products on the market to take the yellow out, brighten up grays and also enhance the gray hair.

Being a professional beautician for over 15 years and a salon owner for 5 ½ years I have tried almost every product on the market for brighten up gray dull hair. I jotted down on a piece of paper every shampoo, conditioner, or treatment I have used for customers with gray hair. I came to the conclusion there is only 5 really good products out there that actually work the way it should. These five products WILL brighten up your grays, make your gray hair softer, more manageable, shiny, and add glamour to your gray hair.

Biosilk Silver Lights shampoo- This shampoo is the top one from my list. Biosilk Silver lights shampoo will brighten gray and white hair, help eliminate and tone down any brassiness your hair has, make your hair extremely shiny, manageable, conditions your scalp, hair, and can be used on your skin. This shampoo will put a lot of moisture into your hair. You can find this shampoo at a beauty supply store or on line at Nextag for $9.60 this is the price for a 12 ounce bottle that should last you quite awhile.

Thanks for the tips! I'm playing with the idea of just letting the gray come in, but I'd rather it be a pretty silvery gray, not yellowy.

I have a few grays I want to get rid of. I won't be brightening them. LOL Good info though for those who have gray hair and love it.

I like my gray; it's kinda' classy. Long, defining my generation, and in all natural color. 'Doesn't clash with the fading on my peace sign at all.

I'll save this for when I'm, oh, 90. Until then, I plan to keep highlighting four times a year : )
