September 23rd saw the premiere of the new ABC show "Opportunity Knocks." The game show sees host JD Roth touring the U.S. with a prize-packed semi-truck. The families of the random homes selected can only win after answering trivia questions about their own lives.

According to ABC's press release:

"We will be showing up on America's doorstep and testing how well they know their family. Our mobile team will arrive at 'Anywhere, America' in a semi-truck that is full of flat screen TVs, new furniture and big cash prizes that the family can win right there. We will take the action of a game show directly into our contestants' homes, setting up shop in a family's front lawn."

For JD Roth, who is not only the host, but an executive producer, it is just one of many hit shows on his resume.

JD Roth started in the film industry at the tender age of 10. Throughout his childhood and teenage years, he performed in over 250 national on-camera and voice-over commercials. At the age of 19, Roth became the host of the hit syndicated show, "Fun House" and the youngest game show host in television history.

"Fun House" led Roth to create his own production company, 3Ball Productions. This allowed him to take "Fun House" on tour, visiting over 70 U.S. cities and over 1 million families. Later, he created and hosted the kids game show "Double Up," making him the youngest executive producer at NBC to-date.

Roth's resume gradually grew longer and longer through the years. He was the host of Fox Family's "Masters of Maze," The Disney Channel's "Inside Out," and Animal Planet's "ZooVenture." Later he created, produced and starred in a live tour of "ZooVenture," which spanned seven countries and over 125 U.S. cities. He has since hosted the shows "Sex Wars," "Unanimous" and "Endurance" and was nominated for an Emmy for both of these shows.
