Wendy Valdez Walk Out Incident at Game Ka Na Ba

A Case of Pride and Prejudice?

I have heard the news of how former Pinoy Big Brother Top 4 winner Wendy Valdez has walked out on Edu Manzano during a taping of Game Ka Na Ba.

The situation arose when during an episode where Wendy was a contestant, Edu did not hear quite well her answer to the question and accepted the answer as correct. But the ever watchful production crew immediately stopped airing and played the tape back. Apparently Wendy mispronounced the answer the first time, and when she was asked to repeat the answer, she still said the wrong answer. I think the case was, she missed one syllable, which only shows that she didn't really know the answer and what she made was really a wild guess.

But it doesn't really matter, it is a game show anyway, so you play your game, as long as it is within boundaries.

But what really got to me was when she insisted she was right. Duh, obviously she was wrong and would the cameras lie during playback? As if sometime during the rewind, the crew tampered with the tape?

And now, she comes out during interviews crying and defending herself and lashing out at people for judging her based on her performances on Pinoy Big Brother. Gee, that is beside the point. What happened in the past is already past. But her behavior at Game Ka Na Ba was intolerable.

If you really think about it, has Wendy Valdez become so self-absorbed thinking that she is super intelligent and that her knowledge is unquestionable? I think the best thing she could have done when she learned that she was wrong was say, "Ay talaga? hahaha Mali di dinig ko e!" and went on with the show. Then there would not be hoopla against her.

Just a bit of advice, Wendy, you are just starting in showbusiness, and as they say, you still have a lot of salt to eat before you can say that you have really proven something. She became bratty in front of Edu, a well-respected and seasoned actor and government official, and the rest of the production crew and the studio audience. And then she wonders why people are judging her? Tsk. tsk. poor girl. At the point, to save face, all she could do is keep quiet and wish that the issue would die down.
