What if you could move objects with your mind? Now, what if you could move objects with your will? This article explores what it would be like to have telekinesis.

The Power of the Mind

We all watch our favorite cartoons or television shows and ever so often, we will see someone using the power of telekinesis. Are you like me just wishing you could have that power too? Well, if you ever get a chance, you're going to be glad you read this article.

Without getting too technical, telekinesis, as used here (so this is my definition), is the ability to move objects with your mind. On the surface, this may seem like a pretty cool thing. Think about it. You're sitting there on your sofa watching your favorite television show and all of a sudden you decide you want to change the channel. But, oh no! The remote is nowhere on the sofa. You realize that the remote is on top of the television. But, you're too lazy to get up and pick up the remote. We've all been there right? Come on... tell the truth! Ok. So, what do you do? Well, normally, you would have to get up, and go pick up the remote to change the channel.

Now, imagine you had the power of telekinesis. Rather than getting up, you could simply use your power and bring the remote to you with your mind. Cool huh. That's just the tip of the ice berg with what you could do with the power of telekinesis. But, as cool as the power sounds, I have a feeling that it's not all that it's cracked up to be. Huh? Let me explain.

Imagine if the human body didn't have hands (but everything in the world still exists the way it does - somehow). If you wanted to move an object then, you would probably be using your feet or your head. You'd also, probably, get use to it. Now, imagine how cool it would be to have the power of hands. I imagine that if we had the power of telekinesis, it really wouldn't be all that special after all and here's why.
