People have accused Tara Connor of being a poor example of what is considered a role model.

Tara Connor, has been competing in pageants since the age of four. After winning the Miss USA title in April, she finished fourth in the Miss Universe Pageant in July.

If she had been dethroned, the First Runner Up would have taken the Miss USA Throne. The First Runner up is Miss California, Tamiko Nash.

I agree...I think underage drinking would definately be worth losing the title for.

Morality in this country is a thing of the past. Also, I am from California, so I would want Tamiko to take the crown, sorry.

I agree with Katie. It appears this is a moral compass of our society. What a shame.

Since Miss USA is supposed to be a role model, I don't see a role model in rehab any better than a role model being sloshed at a night club. Other Miss USAs have been dethroned for less.
