Dress Your Group Up as Presidents and Candidates This Year

With this Halloween coming just in time for one of the most exciting political seasons in recent history, it might be fun for your group to dress up as the presidential and vice presidential candidates. If your group is bigger than four, the remaining people can dress up as secret service agents.

For the Obama Costume: Unless you can an uncanny resemblance to Barack Obama, you should pick up an Obama mask. These are available for $20.00 or less online. Besides the mask, you will need a conservative suit, with dress shoes, and a United States Lapel pin. In you do not have a full suit, you can use dress slacks and a blue dress shirt and tie with the sleeves of he dress shirt rolled up to the mid forearm.

For the McCain Costume: John McCain costume masks are also available for $20.00 or less. McCain would also wear a conservative suit and tie. Although an alternative outfit would be dress slacks and a blue windbreaker or fleece jacket such as the one he wore in the infamous bomb Iran speech.

For the Joe Biden Costume: If you do not have anyone in your group that has a slight resemblance to Joe Biden, you can purchase a Biden paper mask online for a couple of dollars. Finish out the costume with a conservative blue suit and tie with a US lapel pin.

For the Sarah Palin costume: You will need to put the pretty girl in your group in the Sarah Palin Costume. There are no masks readily available. However, if you do not have a dark hair, a light brunette wig with shoulder length hair and bobby pins and a hair clip will go a long way in helping you put the costume together. Choose an acrylic wig with bangs. Next, you will need a skirt and suit jacket. Palin tends to wear coordinated skirt suits, not matched skirt suits, but either will do. The right eyeglasses are very important to the costume. Since it is unlikely that you will want to purchase her $375.00 frames, pick up a pair of rectangular eyeglass frames from the drug store.
