Jennifer Lopez: Sweetface Fashion Designer

Jennifer Lopez affectionately known to the world as JLO was born on July 24, 1969. Jennifer grew up in the Bronx New York with dreams and aspirations of one day being on the big screen and acting in movies. Jennifer began her career as a fly girl on the Wayans Family popular comedy series "In Living Color". She was also a dancer in various videos by then Puff Daddy (now Diddy) and Janet Jackson.

JLO's dreams of stardom came with her first major lead role in Gregory Nava's Selena, the story of a Tejano entertainer who was tragically murdered in 1995 by her friend and assistant. Lopez went on to star in movies directed by Francis Ford Coppola, Oliver Stone, Bob Rafelson, and Steven Soderbergh Jennifer's big screen accomplishments include Jack, U-Turn, Blood and Wine, Out of Sight, Antz, The Cell, The Wedding Planner, Angel Eyes, Anaconda, Enough, Gigli, Jersey Girl, Monster-In-Law, Shall We Dance and a Unfinished Life.

This Bronx born daughter of parents of Puerto Rican descent is now a Bonifide star! Jennifer used her stardom and influence to try her hand at producing a thriller released this year called Bordertown, which starred Antonio Banderas.

In addition to Jennifer's screen work she has enjoyed a solid singing career with the debut CD released in 1999 called "On the Six" with the hit dance single, "Waiting for tonight", then in 2002, "This is Me...Then" with hits such as "All I have" and "I am Glad". In 2004 JLO and husband Marc Anthony teamed up for a track on his CD called "Escapemonos". In February 2007, Jennifer will debut her first full Spanish CD.

Lopez went on to launch her own clothing line Sweetface that designs clothing for JLO by Jennifer Lopez. This clothing line is made typically for young women that wear sizes 2-10. JLO's designs are fashion forward and fresh. She has made it affordable for young people to purchase designer clothing for less.
