Halle Berry's New CD Titled Halle: Is it real? by Paula Neal Mooney

Nearly all morning long I've been trying to verify that Halle Berry is coming out with a new music CD titled Halle, and that it's not an internet rumor. (I'm learning my lesson from trusting official news reports like the one that recently swore the Duke rape accuser birthed a baby girl, when in actuality she is still reportedly pregnant.)

Anyhoo, thus far I've found sufficient evidence thru Rolling Stone and the Washington Post (and reportedly Ebony magazine's December 2006 issue, which I've been trying to hunt down...I even have my mother-in-law sleuthing for me) that Halle Berry is indeed releasing her new Halle CD in February 2007.

True or not, already the haters have come out with venom about Halle Berry's attempt at making beautiful music. But I say give the woman a chance! I'm trying to do just that by searching down the "Miss Sexy" and "How You Been" CD tracks and video clips that were reportedly leaked on psp sites like LimeWire and "No Problem" (reportedly tagged "No Problem") on Bearshare, but I've yet to turn up anything that'll let me judge for myself.

Here's the track listing of Halle Berry's new CD Halle, according to Wikipedia:

1. "Miss Sexy" (Scott Storch) - 3:52
2. "No Problem" (Timbaland, S.G. Jarard) - 3:19

6. "Around" (Cee-Lo, Halle Berry) - 3:22
7. "Lazy" (ft. Lupe Fiasco) (J. Crew Productions, Kundei Supormorgei> - 3:00
8. "Your Love Is Always Good" (Timbaland) - 3:58
9. "Not Today (I'm Not In The Mood)" (Jason Jackson, Jackie Jackson, GiGi Franklin)
10. "Write Me" (Scott Storch) - 2:57
11. "Love & Emotions" (R. Thicke, Halle Berry) - 3:39

I LOVED the Dorothy Dandridge movie. Par excellence. I even read the HUGE 600-page bio of Dorothy. But yeah, I found out that Halle's voice was dubbed in that movie. And, of course, I've written the follow-up to this showing that those Wikipedia page creators might have too much time on their hands...

Didn't she sing in that movie she produced about Dorothy Dangridge? I think it was her voice. Have you seen it? Great movie. Great article. I hope its true. Bye

I can understand people trying new things. Beyonce has started to act, and now Halle Berry will be singing, supposedly. As much as I want to support new endeavors for people, I would be lying if i said that I am curious about her cd. I agree with Michael Street. I hope that she can sing. She is such a talented acress. I wonder what would make her want to move into a new area such as music, since she makes about $14 million per movie. With a pay scale like that, why risk the chance of a bomb in the music industry? But hey, maybe it will work. Queen Latifah had some fans for her jazz influenced album. Hopefully, the public will be able to hear Halle's music sometime soon.

If Halle Berry is coming out with a CD, the best places to check for that is amazon.com or bn.com. I just checked amazon.com and its not listed at all. I also check bn.com and not listed there either. Wikipedia's information is enteted by the public, which means the information may or may not be true. Information like this should be thoroughly researched which is easy to do, but takes time. I found another article about the supposed CD, but I question the validity of it. However, the best place to check for information is imdb.com.
