Learn how to make fried rice (Chunlu Style) aka with bacon, eggs, rice, onion, and snow peas. Perfect for before a workout because you'll get a lot of carbohydrates from the rice, and proteins from both the bacon and eggs. Plus you get a serving of vegetables for the day =D (from snow peas).Materials for one serving:
-3/4 pint of white rice already cooked
-one egg(white or brown doesn't matter)
-a small piece of onion about 1 1/2 inch by 1 1/2 inch
-3 strips of uncooked bacon preferably oscar meyers
-1/4 pint of snow peas
-two skillets: 1 about 6-7 inch in diameter, and one 9 inch in diameter
-two sheets of paper towels
Step 1: Cut the piece of onion into about 6 mm by 3mm pieces, crack the egg and put it in a bowl and stir it.
Step 2: Preheat the smaller skillet first by opening the fire about half way, wait a minute then place the 3 strips of bacon in it and cover the skillet with the lid. (check on it every minute to make sure bacon is not burned and flip the bacon strips about every minute as well.
Step 3: While frying the bacon, beat the egg with a chopstick or beater and beat the egg well until the egg white and yolk are evenly separated, and add just a dash of salt.
Step 4: Preheat the larger skillet now and add about 1 and a half table spoon of oil onto the skillet after the skillet is heated, and keep the fire at bout 3/4 of the max. Add in the onions when the skillet is warm and oil is added. By this time layout one paper towel on the table and check the bacon, if it is a red-orange color and a little hard then it is done and just remove them out of the skillet and place on the paper towel.
Step 5: Keep moving the onions around to make sure their heated evenly, and cover the bacon strips with the second sheet of paper towel and push down onto the bacon strips so the bacon grease will come out and absorbed by the paper towels because that grease isn't healthy for you.
Step 6: When the onions become dark yellow or close to brown, add the beaten eggs and scramble the eggs.
Step 7: Keep moving the scrambled eggs around in the skillet until you begin to see small brown areas on the eggs, then add the rice and snow peas in.
