Fabric Paints

First begin your pre-primed canvas Christmas tree skirt by laying out your fabric. If you were unable to find primed canvas you can put a coat of gesso or primer on there yourself. You will need to allow this layer of primer to dry complete before you begin cutting your tree skirt out. You can draw straight onto your primed canvas with a pencil, pen, crayon, or even a marker. Draw out your tree skirt to the size and dimensions you want. If Santa will be bringing someone a large gift this year you could make a huge Christmas tree skirt.
Basically you need to cut on large circle. In the middle cut out a small four to six inch hole, cut it to fit your Christmas tree. Now, take your scissor sand cut a straight line from the outside of the Christmas tree skirt straight into the middle hole.
Now, use the no sew to iron down all the rough edges on the outside circle, inside circle, and straight edges you cut.
You are now ready to start painting your canvas Christmas tree skirt. Paint on the primed side of the canvas. You can use puff fabric paint to create beautiful outlines. Fill in with fabric paint that is applied with a brush. You can also add glitter, beads, and ribbon. To add the beads or ribbon you may want to allow you paint to dry completely.
