Don't string me along
as if I were your puppet
your very own marionette
acting on your very word
not deciding,
balancing
desire
as if it were your own

Against all odds
you became me
imitating my every move
until the mirror
dictated
every single groove

Now, I'm gone
filtered
from your dreams
and sometimes
you cry at night

But I'm not there
to dry your tears
I'm a million miles
away from where
you've never been.

I like it! I've always liked all the stuff you and my daddy have written though. =D

Great writing James...I liked that line..."Now I am gone, filtered from your dreams." That's some pretty powerful stuff.
