Reasons Why Cheaters Could Be the Best Show on Television

With the rise of divorce rates in America, it's evident that this nation is losing traction on a very slippery slope toward the decline of marriage standards. It's unfortunate that so many children are growing up in single parent families and from the beginning their notion of marriage is altered through a parent's infidelity or abuse. Television in America does nothing to improve this. In fact, with shows like Desperate Housewives, it encourages dysfunctional family lifestyles. Cheating is a norm, and if you're doing it then it's no shocker. However, the reality show called Cheaters is cracking the mold and reestablishing the importance of trust and loyalty in a relationship.

For those who don't know, Cheaters is a weekly syndicated reality TV show that involves private investigators setting up cameras around the house and work of someone that is suspected of cheating in hopes of catching them in the act and confirming the suspicions. The show starts with the investigator, a man by the name of Joey Greco, discussing the situation with the mate that questions their partner's fidelity. The show then transitions into the video footage of the investigation, including footage from the spy cameras at work and home. Eventually, most of the cases confirm evidence of their mate cheating, ranging from kissing in the car to silhouettes dancing in the window that are obviously engaged in sexual activity. The complainant is then escorted by Greco, as well as a few muscular bodyguards, to the cheaters location for a very dramatic confrontation. Often times, the cheater is with the person they are cheating with, and the result is a verbal or physical violence. In fact, host Joey Greco was once stabbed on a show, but fortunately he made a full recovery and is back better than ever. It's a good chance for viewers to see the fallout that results in a cheating situation and how demoralizing the act can be. At the very end of the show they allow the cheater and the complainant to give their take on the situation.
