I don't want this to be an autobiography. I want this piece to show who I am, not what I did and when. I intend for a more self-exploratory feel to this. The evil men do lives after them. The good is oft interred in their bones. Let it be so with Caesar. And let it be so with me. I am H.G. Wells.

I am a socialist. World peace and prosperity can only truly be met by a one-world government. I stand by this belief and the belief that this government cannot truly be successful unless everyone is truly equal in it. I long for a communistic government where the farmer and the attorney are equal in the eyes of the world. Only in this way can we truly thrive.

I am a womanizer. Though I love my wife, I still wish for the companionship of other women, and my wife supports this free relationship openly. She knows I will always come back to her, because she knows I love her dearly, despite my wandering ways. Through many mistresses and affairs have I passed, fathering many children, and only two of them are of my wife. This fact saddens me to this day that I cannot support and love them all, as a father should.

I am a philosopher. My views on world events are deep and intellectual, I have been proven to predict future events on a grand scale with surprising clarity and accuracy. It is this ability to follow world events on their logical courses that have granted me many followers, and many enemies as well. I have published more works on philosophy and world events than I ever did in the realm of science fiction. I only wrote in that genre in my younger years, when I was full of imagination and stories. Though I fear it is all I will be remembered for.

I am a science fiction writer. I turn the improbable into reality. I twist and swirl impossibility, science, human nature, and imagination and somehow I end up with a brilliantly distilled story. I am known and loved throughout the world as one of the founders of the genre that has become my legacy.
