Southampton V Norwich

Norwich will go all out for three points against the Saints after the disappointment of only managing a draw against Barnsley. Norwich manager Glenn Roeder has limited options to change the team though. David Bell, John Kennedy and Sammy Clinghan are all still sidelined. Lupoli is fit
again and Hoolahan may be set for a recall.

The hope is Roeder will see this as a must win game and go for broke. Of course that could be a risky option because it is an away game after all. Knowing Roeder as we do it is unlikely he will go for all out attack and his line-up will have some caution to it. Hopefully Lee Croft will keep his place because he is the main attacking threat Norwich currently has. Hoolahan can expect to stay on the bench, but Pattison might get the gig on the left.

Norwich has been out battled in the midfield in the last two games, so surely Darel Russell must play in the middle. That would allow Lupoli to play up front unless Roeder thinks Cureton deserves another chance. Bertrand can expect to revert to left back and Omozusi might have to sit this one out. Southampton striker Stern John will be unavailable.

My Prediction

This promises to be another tough game. The team I have chosen should keep thing tight. Pattison can tuck in when required and Fotheringham can protect the defence. Russell and Croft are the most attacking outlets and should get forward at every opportunity. If this isn't working then the key substitutes will be Hoolahan and Cureton.

I think Norwich can expect a tight game with few chances. I fully expect a 1-0 win with Lupoli netting.
