1. Where did you hear about AC?

I first heard of AC about 1 1/2 years ago from a fellow contributor to epinions who suggested that I check it out as a way to be able to post things other than product reviews limited by the epinions existing data base.

2. When did you join AC?

In May 2007.

3. Why did you join AC?

I enjoy writing. Product reviews, from a consumer point of view, opinion pieces, "how tos" about things I might know quite a bit about - poetry and songs. AC allows me to write and post any/all of these things. While AC occasionally changes a title or deletes a photo, my work is published, by-in-large- exactly as I submit it and as I intended it to be read or heard. The added bonus of earning some money is part of the formula as well - but not so much that I have gone over to formal 'web writing' with its preoccupation with 'key-wording,' etc.. I write for recreation and to enlighten, inform and at times to entertain.

4. What types of articles, poems, stories, etc, do you write about?

There are not many things that I would not or have not written about. I avoid news writing as I find most of it posted to be regurgitation of publicly available information and I think I have only posted a couple of recipes! I don't write about what I do not know or have strong feelings about. Poetry (Haikus, free verse, sonnets and misc. rhyming work), guitars, and pieces relating to parenting and assorted psychological issues are among my favorite topics. When I buy and use a new product that I think is worth telling other people about, I write product reviews.

5. Who are some of your favorite AC producers?

I have several hundred 'Favorites' and am favorited by a similar number. Too many to mention without fear of leaving out someone and, inadvertently hurting someones feelings - So, I think that discretion being the better part of valor, I'll decline to answer this question. Suffice it to say I have many! The range and depth of talent on this site is genuinely remarkable.

6. What do you think AC needs more topics on?
