Due to the economic situation that we suffer here in the United States, some couples have decided to postpone their wedding plans. However, now it is the time to negotiate and with a little effort from your side, you will be able to have a beautiful wedding within your budget. As a professional wedding coordinatinor, I will share with you some of the secrets of the industry:1. Look for good deal packages- Sometimes couples think that holding their wedding reception at home will be less expensive. What they don't take into consideration is that by doing so, they need to rent tables, chairs, tablecloths, and many other things. So, look around in church halls, community centers, hotels, or restaurants. They will provide everything you need in a global price.
2. Invitations - There are so many options in the market right now. There are many invitations ready to print and assembled. You may print your own or if you know how to write in calligraphy, this is the opportunity to show off your artistic skills. If you know how to paint or watercolor, you can design something special to make unique invitations for your wedding. They will also serve as a little pre-favor for your guests. Check your art and crafts store in your area (usually they provide discount coupons on the Sunday newspaper). If you like scrapbooking, choose to make your own invitations with scrapbooking paper (you can also make your own the envelope with coordinated paper). You can find many templates (just google it) in different sizes. Instead of an RSVP card, you can add your email or webpage, and make it less expensive for you and less difficult for the guests.
3. Color - I always tell my brides that if you don't have a large budget, stay monochromatic. White weddings always look chic and elegant. You just need crisp white tablecloths, a glass vase, with some glass beads, and some white flowers. Everyone can also come dressed in white. Perfect wedding for those who love the beach and the outdoors. Some candles, and it will look magical.
