Snacking between meals can be an excellent way to keep energy levels high and supplement a daily diet with necessary vitamins and nutrients. While the benefits of snacking is largely contingent on the choice of snack foods and the amount consumed, doctors and nutritionists generally agree that snacking is essential for growing children whose bodies require a variety of foods to keep them healthy and properly nourished. I always keep a supply of fruit and raw vegetables in the house for my growing girls to snack on between meals, but fill my pantry with an assortment of other snacks to keep the munchies at bay. I recently purchased J.R. Dippers to see if my girls would enjoy this packaged snack item. Here is what we found out about J.R. Dippers.J.R. Dippers are individual packages of bread sticks and soft cheese. Each package contains six small bread sticks and a separate container filled with soft Sargento cheese for dipping. This snack item is packaged with five individual sealed packets for only one dollar at the dollar store. I found this to be a wonderful bargain and definitely worth giving a try.
Each individual packet of J.R. Dippers contains only seventy calories with three grams of Fat. There is two hundred and fifty milligrams of Sodium, three grams of Sugar, and two grams of Protein in each package. There is also two percent of Vitamin A, two percent of Calcium and two percent of Iron. In comparison to fatty potato chips which also have a much higher Sodium content, J.R. Dippers is a much better alternative. J.R. Dippers requires no refrigeration, which makes this snack appropriate for a child's lunch box.
