The moment I saw Mamma Mia! trailer, I know that I just have to watch this movie. Not only it features A-List celebrities like Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan, but also those fantastic songs from ABBA. I would watch the movie for either one of them.

Packed with music, joy and sunny beach, the story spin around a small island in Greece. Donna (Meryl Streep) runs a small hotel and raise her lovely daughter, Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) alone. Things are getting busy as they are preparing for Sophie's wedding. However, Sophie has an unfinished business: she never know who he father is. After doing some 'research' , she shortlisted three men that she is confident that one of them is her father, and decided to invite all of them to her wedding. On the other hand, Donna has invited both of her very good friends for a reunion. Not knowing that her ex-lovers are coming to the island, the show is about to get a roller-coaster ride.

That's about the spoiler I am going to give you.

So what is good about this movie? First the actors. We don't have to discuss about Meryl Streep here as it is just redundant. Julie Walters and Christine Baranski deliver a great performance, blending singing, dancing and catchy phrases for great laughters. Then there are those great songs like "Mamma Mia!", "Dancing Queen", "Money, Money, Money", "The Winner Takes It All", nicely fitted into different scene in the movie. Last but not least, the plot, although predictable, is anything but boring.

Everyone went to the movie with me likes the show, even those who are not musical fans. In fact, one can clearly tell that there are quite a number of the audience actually sang along in the cinema. The only 'bad' comment is that, Mr. Brosnan can't sing that well. Of course, that is only when you compare with the rest of those fabulous singers. Personally, I think he is much better than Johnny Depp in Sweeney Todd.
