As a great fan of the late Hunter S thompson I really enjoyed coming across this book THE GIG by FREE WHEELAN. I normally never download books however when I read a part of the introduction I was hooked. Had to get it.

"Is it really morning already? The sun streaming through the window says it is but my head disagrees. Feck...I feel like I swallowed a bucket of sand and my head won't lift off the pillow. I reached over for a joint in the hope that it would cure the band drumming on my brain.... THE GIG...The feckin GIG".

The book continued with a true story of 7 people meeting up on the morning of a Fleetwood Mac Gig. It is 11.30 in the morning and they begin drinking tequila slammers to "get into the mood", from there on the book gathers momentum and will have you laughing out loud at the antics of the seven.

It is one of the funniest books I have read in the last decade and if, like me, you are a fan of HST or gonzo journalism then go get it. A hilarious true comedy that will have you in fits of laughter.
