Photoshop Graphics - How to Create a Purple Liquid Heart

In this Photoshop Tutorial I will show you how to create the Purple Liquid Heart in my image. This is a cool graphic that I came up with. It reminds me of a liquid look. This heart is fairly easy to create and can add a little spice to
your site. I will write the first part of this tutorial for beginners. I will write the second part of this tutorial for the advance users. If you are an advance user, please skip down to the advance part of this tutorial.

How to Create a Purple Liquid Heart in Photoshop for Beginners

Create a new canvas 400 pixels by 400 pixels. Set the background color to white and click OK.

Next you will need to create a new layer. Click the icon in the bottom of the Layers Panel that looks like a sheet of paper with the corner curled up to create a new layer. Press F7 on your keyboard if you do not see your layers panel.

Select your Custom Shape Tool from the toolbar. You may need to hold the shape tool down until the menu drops down and then select the Custom Shape Tool from the toolbar.

Go to the top of your Photoshop window and drop the Shape Box down. Click the little arrow on the right side of the box. Click on Shapes to load those shapes in the box. Click on the Heart Card Shape. You can hover your mouse over the different shapes to see the names of them. Draw the heart on your canvas. You can draw the heart whatever size you want.

Right click on your Shape Layer in your Layers Panel and click Rasterize Layer from the pop up menu. This will make the heart smooth. Right click on your Shape Layer again and click Blending Options from the pop up menu. You will need to apply the following effects to the Shape Layer.
