Sarah Palin Out; Hillary Clinton In?

While Americans continue to search the web for nude photos of Sarah Palin, wonder if she really believes that dinosaurs and humans coexisted, and pray that she didn't allow a practice to go on that made Alaskan rape victims pay over $1,500.00 for their own rape kits, the real issue here is: does any of this matter at all?

This is because none of her views, political or otherwise, may end up mattering in the end. There's no way McCain would nix Palin now, and even if she does perform terribly in the upcoming Vice Presidential debate, he'll still hang onto her until he wins the Presidency. Because, even if she gets up there and does the Katie Couric interview all over again, she'll be no less loved by her followers. However, McCain and many other Republicans realize that she's really not qualified for the job, and there's no way in Hell most Republicans want her taking over the Presidency if something happens to John McCain. So what would likely happen is that, after McCain becomes President, Sarah Palin would step down because of any number of reasons: her alleged affair, the Troopergate scandal, family issues, or, the reason that would be the most fun and entertaining, actual nude photos of her really surfacing on the web. Then Mitt Romney, a man who knows a lot about the economy, would step in to aid McCain with the country's current economic crisis.

But while this possibility has been talked about for quite some time, there's another rumor floating around about the Democratic Party that would be a pretty big shock itself: after the Vice Presidential debate, Joe Biden will step aside, citing health reasons, and Hillary Clinton will step in, rallying the Democratic Party and winning back her supporters. It's not as good of a reason for stepping down as a big scandal, affair, or nude photos surfacing (not that anyone would want to see that anyway), but it would be a very big shock to many Democrats.
