Week 5 Fantasy Football Running Back Rankings
Running backs don't hold the same value they once did but they're still a big part of any fantasy football team. Here are the week 5 running back rankings.
Week 5 Fantasy Football Running Back Top Ten Rankings
1. Adrian Peterson-
A good bet for 100 yards or so against the Saints and a possible huge game candidate as
well.
2. LaDainian Tomlinson-
Taking on Miami is always a good thing for a fantasy football running back.
3. Matt Forte-
...And facing the Lions is even better giving this rookie a good shot at 2 or more touchdowns in week 5.
4. Marion Barber-
The Bengals are bad all-around including in rush defense and the Cowboys will punch it in deep with Barber for two or more scores.
5. Earnest Graham-
Once a fantasy fill-in now a fantasy football star at the running back spot. Tampa Bay should be able to run it against Denver this week.
6. Brandon Jacobs-
Seattle has a solid defense but the Giants might shut them down on D giving Jacobs opportunities to score.
7. Clinton Portis-
The Redskins' offensive line is better this year and Philadelphia and Washington should compete in a close, grind-it-out kind of game. That means plenty of touches for Portis.
8. Joseph Addai-
Fantasy owners have been waiting for a big week from Addai. Week 5 might be it against Houston.
9. Reggie Bush-
The Vikings might shut down the traditional run game so the Saints will counter and get Bush the ball on swing passes for big yards.
10. Jonathan Stewart-
Kansas City will give up a good 24-35 points or so to Carolina and Stewart gets the goal line and red zone carries so be sure to start him.
