Hey America: The Election is Coming

Are you ready for some voting? Seriously, it sounds like football. Tis the season for all good politicians to head for the hills or at least the communities and the shopping malls. It's coming to a voting booth near you. It's going to be big. It's going to change our country for better or for worse. It's the ELECTION!

Now I know that some of you are a little bit nervous. Who should I vote for? Is this guy honest? Is any guy honest? Does she have the right stuff? Perhaps I need to be a little more informed. Time is running out. If you are on the fence (and I'm sure that it hurts), you have most likely been gravitating between the left and the right. The fact of the matter is that there is very little center left. The center has disappeared into a political black hole. Just remember to vote for the candidates that you believe are best suited for our country. Hope that your choices do not get corrupted by power, greed, influence, and scandal. Hope that your choices do not get involved in any tawdry affairs. Hope that your choices are smart, have integrity, and will be an asset (and I don't mean the other word), to our nation.

Remember that every vote counts. (And some votes count twice) After watching thousands of political ads, you will go to the polls totally confused and misinformed. Do not let that stand in the way. Be proud and pull that lever, or push that button, or mark with a pen, or voter any other way on that special day. When the voting is over, stay up until the early hours of the morning to see if your candidates have won. Go out and celebrate. Honk your horn at 3:00 in the morning. Tell your fellow citizens that I am proud to be a Global Warming American. Finally, it's time to drift off to sleep. Perhaps you can rest in bed counting voters. It beats counting sheep.
