Recession Friendly Christmas Gift Idea #4: "Rekindle the Flame" Gift Set

Amazon has the very hot gift, the Kindle. You have the very hot gift, "Rekindle", as in rekindle the flame. Give your spouse the gift of romance (and a few other creative things) this holiday season. You don't have to spend a lot of
money to romance your honey. Yes, that's a corny rhyme, but when it comes to romance, the sweetest things often are. You can put your own spin on this idea, but here are some suggestions.

What you will need:

Gift basket or other decorative enclosed container

Candles

Sparkling cider or inexpensive champagne

2 Wine glasses

Something sweet and edible (chocolate, whipped cream, chocolate syrup...have fun with it!)

A smooth music CD (it can be one you already own)

A sexy pair of underwear you'd like to see your spouse in. Don't spend a lot of money on an entire lingerie set. Just a single pair of the right undies will do the trick. Make sure you get the right size, though.

Blank business cards or blank index cards

Next steps:

1. Assemble all the items in the basket except the blank business or index cards.

2. Now, here's the fun part. Think of those cards as coupons redeemable for something your spouse would like to have. It can be as simple as a free day to themselves, help with a household chore, or maybe even some sort of sexual favor. Who said monogamy had to be monotonous?

3. Write down at least 5 different things on those cards. You can even write some you can redeem for yourself.

4. Place the cards in the basket with the other goodies.

5. Now, you're ready to take it from there. Enjoy the fruit of the romance seeds you've planted!

Total cost:

Under $25. You're giving a gift to your spouse and yourself for less than $13 per person. Here's the bonus: romance is the gift that keeps on giving!
