Sharing is one of the most important lessons that a parent needs to teach their child. Sharing is also, many times, the hardest lesson for a child to learn and practice. If you hear "Mine!" from your child all the time, then it may be time to try to install more values of sharing with them. A great way to teach your child the lesson of sharing is through reading them books. There are quite a few books out there that are devoted to teaching children how to share and why they should share. Here are the best books that you can read to your child to teach them the lesson of sharing. These books are best for children ages 3-8 years old.
1. It's Mine by Leo Lionni
In this book, three frogs fight over everything in the pond until they are forced to share the back of a big toad during a flood.
2. One of Each by Mary Ann Hoberman
Oliver Tolliver lives in a house where there is one of everything. He learns though, that having more than one of something and then being able to share it is much better than being alone.
