Olive Your Dreams Will Come True
Local Olive Oil Producer Brings Good Taste to Old Town
One day last summer my husband and I were wandering around Old Town San Diego. As we walked through the Plaza del Pasado, a newer part of Old Town that we hadn't visited, we happened upon a shop that housed the Temecula Olive Oil Company. The shop is warm and charming, and upon entering the store we were invited to participate in an olive oil and vinegar tasting. Being people who like to try new things, we

The products we tasted were all high quality and very delicious. The store offers not only varieties of limited quantity olive oils and vinegars, but yummy spreads and dips.
Even if you don't cook, you can add any of these products to your next meal and end up looking like a gourmet chef. Try their Fresh Basil Olive Oil drizzled on fresh mozzarella and tomatoes with a splash of the California Balsamico for a scrumptious Caprese Salad. (Your friends and family will think you are a rock star!)
One of their suggestions for the Carmelized Red Onion and Fig Spread is to top a burger with it and finish it with Gorgonzola. That suggestion is so right. It's absolutely delicious!
Of course for anyone who does cook, these olive oils, vinegars, spreads and sauces can enhance your creativity and allow your culinary imagination to run wild. I made chicken breasts topped with the Roasted Garlic and Artichoke spread, sprinkled with Parmesan cheese and basil. Superb!
The Temecula Olive Oil Company is a family-owned business and they pride themselves in using high quality products that are not mass-produced. The olives are grown in Temecula, California and are harvested using sustainable agriculture methods.
This shop was a real find for me. It's a great place for anyone who loves good food. Be sure to visit them in their Old Town San Diego, or Old Town Temecula locations. Or order from them online. You'll be glad you did.
