Pastor and Mrs. CV Holley have been married over 30 years. Until about nine years ago, they evangelized around the USA. Then they feel the Lord called them to Vivian, Louisiana to start a pastoral ministry. Starting with only twelve members, this was certainly going to be a challenge and total dependency on the Lord was inevitable. About five years into their ministry, the Holley's noticed the building's foundation deteriorating. With the church growing to about forty regular members, the definitely needed to begin saving money to start building a new church.

The Lord blessed them with four acres of beautiful hilly land right at the edge of town. Now totally debt free from the land note, they want to begin raising money to place a church there. Many people in town said they would attend whenever the new church was built. It is The Potter's House Family's desire to win souls, no matter where the church is. They want to build the new church to be able to fit members and also because of the condition of the church they are currently in.

The Potter's House is currently raising funds through making homemade peanut brittle, and a few on line affiliate programs. They are certainly grateful for what they are earning from these, but they aren't earning fast enough. Pastor Holley feels there is an urgency to win the city to the Lord. They recently had a shooting in the local convenient store (which is very rare in this neck of the woods) by rival gang members. One of the gang's members reside in Vivian. Drugs and domestic violence is on the rampage in Vivian as well. There are also those 'hole in the wall' bars on every corner. There has been several alcohol related deaths in the past nine years. Not to mention the recent suicide of a fourteen year old in the small high school.
