Gina Carano (aka Crush from American Gladiators) Gets Naked at Fight Weigh-In

Gina Carano aka Crush from American Gladiators was last seen in an article in which she talked about wanting to be known for her fighting as opposed to being a sex symbol. But when it came to making weight for tomorrow's Elite XC: Kimbo Slice vs. Ken Shamrock fight card, Carano was forced to do something that will probably have Internet fans talking for a while.

Carano's weight struggle

Carano was supposed to meet the 141-pound weight limit for her fight with Kelly Kobald in Sunrise, Florida on Friday, but she was unable to make it on the first try with her clothes on. The second try was also a failure so Carano was forced to take of all of her clothes (a small sports bra and a fairly thick-looking skirt) and weight in while covered up by a towel.

Carano's naked episode a publicity stunt

It's natural for some people to think that Carano getting naked to weigh in was a publicity stunt. After all, it does seem odd that the most well-known female fighter and someone who many people find quite attractive would decide to get naked at a weigh-in for an event and a league that is desperate for attention in the tough uphill battle it faces against the ever-popular UFC. But it is something that's happened before, especially in the world of boxing as many hardcore fans know.

Making that last pound or two of weight can be a difficult thing for some people based simply on the weight they're built so if someone can weigh in more efficiently by getting naked as opposing to dangerously attempting to cut that last pound or two then more power to them.
