Timeless Theme for a Bridal Shower

Coming up with a theme for a bridal shower can make the ideas really flow. Once you have the theme you can come up with all sorts of games and favors that go along with it. Following is a theme and some ideas to go along with it. If something in this article doesn't really fit the bride, feel free to change it up a bit or come up with ideas of your own. Remember, this should be a time for everyone to have fun, especially the bride!

Theme: Timeless

Invitations: Clock Invite

Materials Needed:

1. Parchment colored Cardstock
2. Number stickers (depending on how many invites you plan on sending you may need multiple packages or just one. If you already have a number stamp set that would work even better)
3. Black Cardstock
4. Glue stick
5. Gold Brads

Instructions:

1. Fold a piece of parchment cardstock in half.
2. Using a sour cream container sized lid trace two circles onto the parchment, make sure that you trace it so that you will end up with four separate circles.
3. Cut out your circles.
4. Place the number stickers on the circle like a clock.
5. Cut the black paper into ¼" strips, and to make the clock hands simply cut one end of the strip so that it has a point. Put it up to your clock and see how long you need cut the strip for the minute hand. Repeat this process for the hour hand.
6. Before attaching the hands make duplicates for as many invites as you need.
7. Attach the hands to the center of the clock with a brad.
8. On the back side you can put all the invitation information (be sure to include the theme)

Gifts:

Before you send out the invites, make up a list of "time" gifts. Some examples may be; bedtime, bath time, cooking time, date time, dinner time, vacation time and so on. If the bride knows about the shower you may want to ask her what she really needs and have a couple people assigned to that time. Then at the bottom of the invite so those attending know what to bring write something like, "For our bride's Timeless bridal shower please bring a gift for ________ time" inserting whatever time you would like to assign to that person.
