Hope you enjoy this crazy poem about Sarah Palin based on Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven":

Once upon an October dreary, while Americans were becoming weary,
Because they did not long ago vote for the dreary dreamer Al Gore,
While my television was blaring, suddenly I saw her staring,
Through blade-like glasses she was glaring, glaring like a beautiful boar.
She will never prevail with this blank staring, I thought, for she was such a bore,
And things would not be the same for four more.

Ah, distinctly I remember being excited about November,
Hoping for an end to a pointless and unwinnable war.
Eagerly I awaited voting, laughing at her party's gloating,
And the media's quoting - quoting her until they could quote no more,
Her words making them weary until they could take no more,
As they began to realize there could possibly be four more.

Wearing her designer suit she aimed to appear bright-eyed and astute,
Thrilling me with fantastic terrors never felt before,
So that in my distress I stood repeating,
'She can't be loved, she makes me and many others snore,
Her folksy speech and silly sayings make so many of us snore.
Surely Americans don't want four more.'

Presently her tone grew stronger, and I could stand her voice no longer,
With America, I began to implore:
'How can you believe that she is caring? She is simply overbearing,
She just repeats a few phrases, and nothing more.
For the future of our country, she can do nothing more,
And all that's left is four more.'

As I tried to mute her, she began to grow bolder, cuter,
I doubted and dreaded as I never had before.
Her voice was becoming grating with every bit of rote she was stating,
But all I could hear her saying was, 'Four more!'
In her eyes I saw the truth: Four more.
Behind her shielded eyes, there was nothing more.

For the power button I was scrambling, but she just kept on rambling,
Even louder and wilder than she had before,
'Surely', said I, 'surely she can't go on forever,
Her words I must simply try to ignore,
For an hour longer, her words I will ignore,
Then her raving I will hear no more.'
