How to Create a Mohawk for Halloween Without Cutting Your Hair

All You Need to Create This Mohawk for Halloween is Got2 Be Spiking Gel & Spray

Does your Halloween costume this year require a certain hairstyle like a Mohawk or spikes? Maybe you're going to a Halloween party as a rocker, Gothic person, ghoulish monster or even an Indian. Most of these
Halloween costumes I just mentioned would look great with the Mohawk addition. Creating a Mohawk is actually very easy to achieve on any length hair if you have the right hair products. I am going to show you how you can create a Mohawk style for Halloween in under 30 minutes. Don't worry if your hair is too short. As long as you have a few inches of hair on top of your head anything is possible look at David Beckman's hair for example. David's hair in some pictures is very short, but has the spiky Mohawk look and is very striking.

To create a Mohawk for Halloween all you need is a blow-dryer, Got2be glued hairspray, Got2be glued gel, comb, Halloween colored hairspray, and patience.

First make sure your hair is free of all tangles. You may do the Mohawk on cleaned hair or dirty hair. For best results I recommend hair that is dirty. Now I don't mean a week without washing your hair more like a day or two this way the Mohawk will hold very well.

Take a comb and section your hair. Pull up your first section (at least 1-2 inches thick)

Place a decent sized amount of the Got2be glued spiking gel into the palm of your hand. Start at the base of that section work the gel all the way up. Blow dry that section spray with Got2be glued hairspray. Let this section dry for a minute then dampen the tip of the spike reapply the Got2be glued gel again this time twist the end. Spray with hairspray one last time. Repeat this procedure until you have achieved all your spikes or Mohawk. Remember though when you blow dry each section make sure you apply the heat from the scalp up to the tip of the spike. Don't place the brow dryer on the spike for one second thinking it will work it won't. The heat has to be placed for at least 30 seconds in order for the spike or Mohawk to harden. If your hair is very curly straighten it with a flat iron before you start creating the Mohawk. Just get creative the messier the hair the better it will look.

I've been looking at the internet for a better method than my own and still haven't found one. Here's my method that tops them all, even this one. Seperate the middle section where you want your mohawk, create the width you want it and make sure all of it is uniform and straight. Pull all of it up and tie up, DO NOT STYLE [yet] TWIST or BRAID the sides that are supposed to be shaved very tightly. Start from the bottom up, and get creative. Make patterns or swirls or whatever your heart desires and use small rubber bands [i recommend] or bobby pins [depending on how long you want to keep it up] and THEN style the mohawk. Hope somebody found this useful! --Trisha Cosmetologist
