Max Hardcore Sentenced to Prison; Pornographer Had Been Busted for Scat, Urine & Fetish Videos

Once Charged with Producing Kiddy Porn, Porn Tycoon Cited by Judge for "Humiliating" Women in His Vids

Tampa, Florida (October 3, 2008): The infamous pornographer Max Hardcore was convicted in a federal court in Tampa, Florida for producing fetish videos featuring scat and urine, as well as "humiliation" videos featuring the infliction of pain and degrading sex acts on his female "co-stars." The man who had beat a federal kiddy porn rap back in 2002 was convicted on June 5, 2008 on federal charges of distributing obscenity via the Internet and the U.S. mails. His sentencing was postponed until October, during which time he cranked out another two of his nasty videos.

According to news reports, Max Hardcore trembled as he begged U.S. District Judge Susan Bucklew for mercy. She was unmoved and sentenced him to 46 months in prison. The pornographer was also fined $7,500 personally and was fined an additional $7,500 for the activities of his company, Max World Entertainment. In addition to $5,000 in special assessments levied against him, Max Hardcore was sentenced to three years of probation after the completion of his prison sentence. His company received a five-year term of probation.

Max Hardcore's distributor was exempted from prosecution. Typically, the distributor is prosecuted, but in this case, the government focused on the maker of the obscene materials due to a deal struck with the distributor. Jeffrey Douglas, the lawyer representing Max Hardcore, claimed that the case is a landmark in that the government prosecuted a porn maker while granting the distributor immunity.
