Across the world there are millions of Harry Potter fans. Those fans have read the books over and over and have spent the last year and a half waiting for the title of book 7. Many even speculated on what the name of the 7th Harry Potter book might be. I know that I have spent my fair share of time wondering what the 7th Harry Potter book would be called. Obviously I was wrong, just like everyone else. Even popular Harry Potter fan sites spent lots of time guessing, only to be wrong. I honestly thought the popular fan site Mugglenet would have been close, because they had even looked at the names that Warner Brother's had copyrighted. Warner Brother's knew that as soon as the title of book 7 was released someone would try and snatch up that title so that they could have their own Harry Potter website. Warner Brother's always has a website devoted to each Harry Potter movie, so of course it was very important that they had that name copyrighted. But now, fans no longer have to wait.

J.K. Rowling has released the title of book 7 today (12/21/06). The new Harry Potter book will be called Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. While no publication date has been set I know there must be millions of fans across the world, who are rejoicing, just knowing the new title. What a great Christmas present from Mrs. Rowling. This will of course be the last book in the Harry Potter series, but it will be the book that answers all of our questions. There are speculations that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released this summer, but nothing is for certain. One thing that is for certain is Border's is already taking reservations for this book at their shops. For online customers Borders will send out an email when the book becomes available to reserve online. Amazon shoppers can also sign up for an email as well.

I would have called it "Harry Potter and My Second Billion" if I were Rowling.

Wooohooo! Though I'm not impressed with the title. The title just doesn't make me want to pick it up and read it.

I'm just excited there's finally some news! We read the series to our kids, and my husband and I enjoy them as much (if not more) than they do.

Yeah I have to agree. The title isn't as good as her previous titles have been, but the title could mean a whole lot after we read it. Like the Half Blood Prince, who would have guessed how that would end?

I found this out only a few hours ago. I'm not so sure how I feel about the book title yet, but I am happy to have the title.

Yeah really LOL J.K. Rowling has done amazingly well for herself. Several publishers told her that children's book didn't make money LOL I bet they're kicking themselves now.
