Do you plan on going to your homecoming dance? Some may have already had their homecoming dance back in September, but some of the schools by me are celebrating their homecoming dance the end of October. The homecoming dance is a very important dance to many young girls almost more important than their prom. Are you having a hard time trying to choose that perfect homecoming hairstyle? Being a beautician I must keep up with all the latest trends, and hairstyles. This month I already have two homecoming hairstyles to do, which are actually two styles that are a big fall trend for 2008. So the homecoming hairstyle you choose will actually be good to wear to prom, wedding, party, or dance. Not much has changed in the hairstyle trend except maybe more curls, and hair accessories this year. Some homecoming hairstyles I would suggest telling your beautician for this years dance are the following:
Chignon- This is one style you can't go wrong with. Your hair can be short, medium or long.
Sleek ponytail- This classic is very easy yet romantic.
Spiral curls- This year curls are a huge hit it's all about the curls. Wear your hair in spirals leaving the hair all down.
Big bodacious curls- Big curls created with a big barrel curling iron or rollers. This can be done on almost any length hair. Pin your hair half up or run your fingers through the big curls you created. Set your hair in rollers then take the rollers out shake head and spray.
Short hair up do with a sweeping bang to one side
Ponytail with big barrel curls
Bun with a sleek front to one side
Braids- Braids are a huge hit this fall. Choose from a French braid, fishhook braid, braids wrapped around the sides with front sleek, curly top & sides with braid at bottom and so forth.
An up do with a messy look to it
Hair pulled up in the back pinned on the crown area. Section the hair with ½-1 inch wide twists or braids. Then arrange each section how you want either criss cross, overlay or piled on top of one another. Secure each one with a bobby pin. Then make a zig zag part in the front add some crystal studs on each side or a butterfly pin.
Bun on top with straight pieces overlapping sides, back, and top
