Update Feature Articles

Update the feature articles regularly for each section. Too often articles are left in the feature boxes for over a month past when the article was timely. In the Holiday section currently some articles are about a holiday that occurred 5 weeks ago. This limits interest in the section. It is off putting to come to the Holiday section looking for articles about an upcoming holiday and find the feature box full of boring old articles about long past holidays.

Give Politics More Front Page Coverage

Give politics more front page coverage. Our nation is enthralled with the political campaigns. Some more articles and photos on the front page would provide fascinating coverage of the campaign season and the start to the new reign of our next president.

Add an International Section to the Main Categories

International news often gets lost on AC. The site has fabulous international journalists so why not highlight them? The world is getting more complex and international issues impact America greatly. Create an International Section so we can stay abreast of world news.

More Rewards for CPs with Seniority or Longevity

Find creative ways to reward content producers who have seniority or longevity with the site.

Avoid Trashy Articles

In the holy grail of getting high page views too many writers are publishing trashy tabloid type articles. Thus sometimes the front page of AC looks quite low class. This is a shame for there are wonderful journalists at AC. Too often though the articles on serious topics do not get the attention the fluffy, trashy articles get.

Pay for Short Stories

It is a pity AC declines payment for fiction. Fiction is just as valuable to the site as the articles.

Add Travel Article & Picture to Front Page

Have a fabulous photo and one travel article on the front page. Entice readers into the site with a beautiful picture of exotic locales.

Hold More Contests

In addition to adding more random contests also have one weekly ongoing contest with a prize of at least $100. This will keep writers coming back to the site frequently.
