Halloween is a fun spooky holiday that is perfect for families to spend together. There are several Halloween events that you can take your family to in Sacramento. This article will go over a few of the more popular ones occurring during Halloween 2008.

2008 Halloween Events in Sacramento, California #1: The Scream Extreme Haunted House & Kids Trick or Shriek

The Scream Extreme Haunted House is located at 5070 Hillsdale Blvd in the Scandia Family Fun Center (off I-80 and Madison). This Halloween event is not to be missed. Gwendel Rodriguez from the Scream Extreme says that "We've gotten rid of the safe walls with windows and kicked the plush carpet to the curb. The Scream Extreme has turned itself into a commune crawling with a bunch of back wood folks with a hankering for human flesh. So, summon your courage and strength.....you're gonna need 'em!"

The Scream Extreme Haunted House runs from October 3^rd to November 1^st. The hours are 7 PM to 11 PM. Admission is $15 per person or $12 per person if you're in a group of 12 or more.

Children under 13 have to have an adult with them for The Scream Extreme so you may want to leave the younger children at home if they scare easily or bring them back for Scream Extreme's children's Trick & Shriek Haunted House on October 11^th, 18^th and on October 25^th. Children entering the maze must be able to walk through on their own (no strollers). It starts at 11 AM and ends at 2 PM. Admission is $7 dollars for this event. If your child is under 10, you must walk through the Trick & Shriek with them.

2008 Halloween Events in Sacramento, California #2: Spookomotive Train at the CaliforniaStateRailroadMuseum

California State Railroad Museum is bringing back their Spookomotive train this Halloween season. This spooky train runs for three weekends in October. The dates are October 11 - 12, 18 - 19, and 25 - 26.
