The women on this definitely know how to send chills down our spine. Whether they are the victim of evil or evil themselves, they've added a feminine touch to the horror genre and have starred in some of the greatest horror movies of all time. Here are some of the most memorable actresses of the flicks that frighten us that we still can't help but watch:

Jamie Lee Curtis in 'Halloween' (1978)
Before she was a well-known, respected actress with a pixie haircut, Jamie Lee Curtis was a feather-haired, svelte teenager who was just busting her acting chops. Her breakthrough role came in a low-budget horror flick, which not too many actors or actress can claim. The white-masked Michael Meyers may have been a sadistic serial killer, but he was no match for the brains of this beauty. Sure he killed most of her friends, but Curtis' character survived to star in a few more films in the franchise, and the actress herself went on to have a very successful career, although she's not ashamed to star in commercials about improving your digestion through eating yogurt.

Barbara Steele in 'La Maschera del demonio' or 'Black Sunday' (1960)
If there were a horror screen queen beauty contest, Barbara Steele would probably win. The dark beauty looks like a more curvaceous, extreme version of Audrey Hepburn with big, expressive eyes and pouty lips. In this film, she plays a vengeful vampire witch, as well as the beautiful princess victimized by her. She makes one great evil beauty, but the witch's true character is revealed at the end of the film through a shocking peek under her robe.
